In Powerpoint 2003, under the drop down Play Movie window (in Custom
Animation/Timing) the speed option does not permit a number to be entered for
an inserted Movie & Sound mpg file. What opens or controls the speed option?
Is adding additional frames to the mpg file the only way to slow the movie
down in the presentation? The mpg was created in Pro/E animation package.

PowerPoint simply plays the movie "as is". You can however create an
instance of Windows Media Player via the custom control and it does allow
for altering the playback speed.

Does this mean that the only way to slow the speed in Power Point is to
generate more frames in the mpg file or is there a way to attach Media Player
to Power Point to slow the rate down? If so how is this accomplished such
that the presentation is seamless?

Power Point does have a speed timing option in the customization window
which does not appear to work for mpg files. Are there other file types that
opens this option or is there an issue with the software? How can this
problem be submitted to Microsoft for resolution or enhancement?

Thanks for the input & quick response.
