2003 can't play mpgs, play in 2002

Currently running XP with Powerpoint 2003 sp2, Windows Media Player 11 and
the Directx 9.0c (the latest versions). When I insert a mpg into powerpoint
presentation, I get strange green box, the movie does show any video but I
can hear the sound on the movie. This mpg runs without issue in Powerpoint
2002. Any bright ideas?

I had this green box on PCs where WinDVD was installed. Which other Media
Players or CD/DVD burning programs apart from Microsoft's WMP are installed
on the machine?

Best regards,
Ute

get around the problem?

Try to uninstall WinDVD completely. iTunes and Roxio do no harm as far as I
can tell.

Best regards,

Thanks, uninstalled (was only a trial version anyway) and my mpgs now play
without a problem in PPT 2003.
