No speculation on my part.
I delayed the planned hardware replacements & have migrated older (Win ME,
NT & W2K) machines to Linux.
IF MS fixes Vista, we may upgrade the hardware next year with Vista
machines.
If I still don't like it, more machines will go to Linux & XP machines will
be maintained as long as the hardware lasts.
MS can speculate all they want, but I don't want a Fisher-Price front end OR
an AOL style backend.
My grandson is 11, he's been using computers since he could reach the mouse.
He's very good with computers & helps the teachers & other kids at school
with them.
He used my Vista Ultimate machine for 2 weeks while I had his XP system on
the bench for repairs.
I never told him it was Vista or expressed my opinion of it to him.
But after using it, he dislikes Vista almost as much as I do.
