The send/recieve progress screen...

When I click the send/recieve button, the progress screen pops up and if I
have messages to download, it tells me how many and shows the progress of the
download. The popup does not clear itself anymore and always starts with two
tasks that are not real. Also, my emails are no longer highlighted when
recieved. Thanks for your help...

What are the two 'not real' tasks? Are they send/recieves from deleted
accounts?

There may be a checkbox on the dialog to hide it. Also, in OL2003 there's
the Send/Recieve > Send/Receive Settings > Show Progress option/command

Vince there are two tasks, one sending and the other recieving but there are
no old accounts. I just upgraded from Outlook 2000 and that's when I started
getting the problem. Thanks for the reply... I have checked the progress
options, etc. and nothing there helps with this problem. I even tried the
detect and repair option.
