The Security Center service has been stopped.

We recieve this message, Event ID: 1807 The Security Center service has been
stopped., on many if not all of our domain client computers. We have
settings in Domain policy to get windows updates from our WSUS server. I do
not know if this is why we are seeing this message or not. Do we need to be
concerned about this message or is it ok to ignore? If we do need to be
concerned about this message how can we resolve this issue?

Thank you

I would ignore those messages and not worry about it assuming in addition to
managing updates via WSUS you are protecting the network with a firewall and
have an AV solution which I bet you do. Security Center is aimed at the home
user market and just a nuisance in a managed domain network,

Agree.

Also it's often not realised that SC doesn't actually DO anything
security-wise, it's purely a nagger.

Hi, I got this same problem but not on all my domain clients, just one. I
guess this problem does not allow "help and support" on the start menu or
control panel to run or am I wrong?
I need "help and support" for easy running of system restore and remote
assistance. What could be the cause of this problem and the fix, if there is
one.
Cheers.
