The Resend function changes mail format to plain texts

Hi All,

I have two computers with Outlook 2007. However, when I perform the exact
same task (described below) on each machine with the same e-mail, the result
is different.

When I am in an e-mail message (html format) and I click the "Other Options"
button in the Ribbon> then click "Resend This Message" the message that
opens up opens is in HTML format on one machine and Rich Text on the other.

Where is the setting that controls the fomat of the "Resend" messages? I'd
like to keep the formatting in my messages that I'd like to Resend, thus, I'd
like both machines to open format the messages in HTML format.

Please advise.

Many Thanks.

Hi Diane,

Thanks for the quick reply. I am actually using the same e-mail message
(html) format with the same recipients. On one pc the Resend option gives me
the resend message in html format and on the other pc it changes the format
to plain text.

The format should be the same as the original message. Is the recipient set
for always RTF? (double click on their email address - if a contact opens,
double click on the address in the contact.)

Was the HTML formatted message originally created on the machine that is
now trying to convert it to Plain Text? Does this happen for ALL
messages or just some?

Hi Ben,

Actually, it looks like only that particular e-mail message behaves this
way. And yes, it appears that that troublemaker was created on the same
computer that turns the resend message into plain text.

Would you know why, Ben?
