Name appears in bracket

I have Outlook 2003. I have a formatted message that I want to resend by
forwarding it from the sent folder. Because I am resending it, I sometimes
will change the text depending who I am forwarding it to. I am using Word
2003 as my e-mail editor. When I go to change anything in the forwarded
message, whatever change I attempt, my name automatically appears in brackets
as I attempt to put the first character change in.

I looked in autoformat, but didn't see what may need to be turned off. Can
anyone guide me as to what I need to change/turn off? Thanks!
