"The anonymous proxy/network TOR (derived from the US
Navy "Onion Routing" project (http://www.onion-router.net)
is now available in "pre built, binary format" for win32, just
use the download link on this page http://freehaven.net/tor/
to pick your copy; to run it you will also need a copy of the
OpenSSL DLLs (ssleay and libeay) the TOR site contains
a link for those libs as well, or, if you are running TreeWalk
you may just copy the DLLs from the ..\system32\dns\bin
folder into your TOR folder; that's more or less all you'll need
to start surfing the net through the TOR network; if you never
tried it .. give it a spin and then open http://www.whatsmyip.org
to see the results .. or, if you're really curious, try using the GRC
shieldsup page to see the reported address/name ;-)"

Also confirm the Linux tarball is OK. From download, through unpacking the
tarball, compiling and chaining it through privoxy, to anonymous surfing
in under ten minutes on Mandrake (Official) 10.0.

Interesting to watch the grc shields-up site telling me that my IP was in
Connecticut whilst surfing from SE England.

Regards
Gordon
