Well, I downloaded the newest version of IE. It has tabs etc., but it is
different. Unusual even. Only complaint is that the mouse freezes sometimes,
and the screen flashes black occasionally. I think I'll stick with Opera
until an update comes along.

Yeah I thried IE7 and found it mostly OK...but a bit buggy yet...
I'm going to wait for it to come off of Beta.

BTW: for a nice tabbed browser shell for IE6...give the Enigma browser a
try

It already did. It was released yesterday.

I'm very happy with the Maxthon shell for IE here. It works fine over both
IE6 and IE7.

Do you install IE 7 over 6?

You cannot uninstall IE6. You have to install IE7 over it.

Yep...I just saw the news a few minutes ago and will probably try it now...
For me to be only one day late...is pretty good...
I'm usually 5 or 10 years behind :)

LOL. I installed it on all three machines here yesterday (I hadn't run any
of the betas) and it seems fine. I run it with the Maxthon shell here, which
runs over it without a problem, and my wife is running it natively.

I just installed it on my XP machine and it seems to be just fine.

No need to worry about a Beta release now!

Probably not a bad plan, though I haven't exactly known Opera to be stable
on any platform, either. One day, and IE7's already shown itself to have a
pretty nasty security flaw.

See Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Hi P,

If you read the Microsoft response to the security flaw you will find out it
is related to Outlook Express and not IE7.

I have installed IE7 on three machines and they all work absolutley fine,
two of them were upgraded from Beta 3, the installer simply removed beta 3
and installed the final release without any flaws.

Kind Regards

Andy W
