fact is that there is a big diff between the gameplay on the same machine
using xp or vista, not just for pure FPS but also for how it is presented
I am currently trying out the new ati drivers for vista

That's what you need to do at once, after install Vista.
In my experience, Vista need 2Gb RAM to play games smoothly. Not much I
think, becouse WoW and many more new games need same RAM in XP. If you have
enough RAM - you'll get same speed like XP or better.
