The letter won't go away!! Help!

Help! I typed a new letter in Word, and when I went to print it, got in a
rush and probably hit a few buttons that I shouldn't have.. Now, every time
I go to open a New Document, that letter is there, and if I continue to hit
the 'New Document' icon, the letter is there. How do I clear it? Thank-you!
