The instruction at "0x745f2780" referenced memory at "0x00000000

I have recently installed HP Photosmart Premier Software because Director
wouldn't load having possibly installed IE7.

I now get this error which, in fact, I copied from another contribution to
another forum.

"The instruction at "0x745f2780" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The
memory could not be "read".

[with the following options]:

Click OK to terminate the program
Click cancel to debug the program"
------------------------------------------

I also get the following problem:

-------------------------------------------
"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs
to close."

Has anyone had this?

Whatever was causing this, it seems to have sorted itself out, in that I
have had no recurrences.
