THE "FROM" BOX IS BLANK

I received two email messages recently w/ no entry in the From box or the
Subject line. How is this possible for someone to send such an email? I'm
reluctant to open the emails, not knowing who they are from. And until I
know who they are from, I don't want the sender to get a "received message"
if they have requested it. Is there any info I can get from these emails
without opening it?

You could use the reading or preview pane to see the text of the email
without opening them.

It may be a draft of something you have written and not yet sent.

Very, very easy.

I'm reluctant to open the emails, not knowing who they are from. And

If you have Outlook configured to never send a receipt or to request
permission before sending a receipt, then the sender won't get one.

Is there any info I can get from these emails without opening it?

Did you examine the message headers by right-clicking the subject in the
Inbox list and choosing Options?
