Hi group,


I am using WinXP sp2,
While I am trying to access disk manager it is showing following error

"The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion"


Kindly help

Hi Alex,

Click Start, Run and type Services.msc
Set the Startup type of "Logical Disk Manager" to Automatic
Set "Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service" to Manual
Close Services MMC and restart Windows.

I am not able to locate Logical Disk Manager ,
while logical disk manager administrative service is set to manual

Can you please tell me how to get Logical Disk Manager service

Download dmserver.reg from here:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/reg/dmserver.reg

Save it to Desktop. Right-click the file and choose Merge. Restart Windows and see if the Logical Disk Manager service is restored.
