The client could not connect to the remote computer...

I am accesssing a remote desktop through VPN. I can connect fine through
terminal services but another client can't. We are both using the exact same
credentials for the VPN connection. The other user can authenticate to the
firewall but can't connect to the terminal server. It has to be something in
XP on the other user's machine but I can't find what it is. What should I be
looking for?

1. Misconfigured firewall(s), including the one that may be provided by the
VPN software.

2. Different versions of the VPN software, possibly? What VPN client/server
are you using?

Thank you for your input.
I don't think the firewall is misconfigured, otherwise neither of us would
gain access. I can gain access but the other user can't. Can't be different
versions of client software as I installed it from the same source within
about a half hour of each other. We have a WatchGuard firewall with MUVPN
via SSL client software downloaded directly from the firebox. Both myself
and the other user can authenticate to the firewall but the other user is not
able to login to the terminal server whereas I can. After authenticating to
the firewall, I can access the other terminal using VNC so that tells me that
we are both connected to the same network address range. I just don't
understand why the other user is not able to login to the terminal server
which they have no trouble accessing when connected to the LAN withing the
office.

Possibly some third-party software that is interfering?

Licensing issue?

Other than that, I don't know. I would contact the VPN client's tech
support.

Sorry I was unable to help you.
