the blue screen of death

I had a new installation about 3 months ago, a new hard drive, my hard drive
ate it and I new one. A PC tech installed it for a fortune. Now, I'm taking a
class at el camino called PC Troubleshooting. Anyways, I'm getting the blue
screen of death now. It says: Did you recently install any software or
hardware? I don't know if my niece, who uses the PC , did download
something. I asked her and you know the answer. No! ok What should I do to
fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

You may have a hardware failure. As you are taking a class called PC
Troubleshooting, perhaps your computer is a good candidate for the class.
