That Doggone Active X Thing!

I have a problem accessing my Xanga. I keep getting that annoying
Active X box on my screen.

I think it has something to do with the music I embedded in my site. I
had the same problem with my blogger site, but I was able to access my
template and take the music embed out. I can't do that with my Xanga,
because I have to access from my page.

I noted similar problems posted earlier within this group, but they are
all from a couple of years back. Are the solutions the same?

Also, Windows updated last night (I think) before I went to bed, during
the shutdown process...could the problem be there?

Any help that you offer would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tom.

Eolas settlement causes changes to ActiveX:

Also, since you are using Xanga (known source of malware), make sure
your computer is clean:

Thanks...
I think the problem lies in that new update.

I ran a registry cleaner, and I have protection. The links you provided
seem to be talking about what I'm experiencing. I may see if I can
access my page from another comp and take the embed out of the
template. Thanks.

Don't put music on a website unless it's a music related site and you ask
people first. Nothing is more irritating and guaranteed to ensure I never
visit a site again is unasked for music that I can't turn off.

Surprisingly...I think you're right.

The site was somewhat music related. I may put a player that is passive
on there at a later date, but I doubt I'll embed another hidden music
code that starts up when the page is clicked on.

I went to the library, accessed my Xanga from there and removed the
code.

It fixed the problem.

Thanks ALL of you.
