I spend a lot of time asking questions here and I thought I would spend a bit
of time thanking the community here, too.

I am the lay Access user, the computer nerd who learns fast but not fast
enough. The one with a million questions and only one answer: go to the
forum.

You are the community champion. You are the person who performs search and
rescue operations on lackluster office workers tasked with a goal their boss
doesn't care they don't know how to reach. You are the person who sits and
patiently answers the SAME question from 12 different users, the person who
dumbs down your computer knowledge so the likes of me can learn. You are the
one who freely shares your expertise and your insight. You get no money, no
rewared and only this: Thank you.

Thank you because you get me over the hurdles I cannot on my own. You
increase my value and slowly but surely make me into an expert that will one
day do the same as you. Thank you because you let me avoid a nervous
breakdown for lack of understanding.

You are all apart of Team Awesome. Thank you.

The first three pages includes links to lots of very useful information for
anyone working with Access. This includes special characters to avoid, naming
conventions, reserved words, database design, best practices, etc. Skim the
rest of the document, to get a general idea of the information present. There
are two important hyperlinks shown in red font on page 4. These show you how
to configure your PC to avoid common problems.

Good Luck with your learning. I have confidence that we will see you able to
provide lots of answers in the near future.

this kind of response makes all the "paying back what I've been gifted"
worthwhile.

I'll warn you though... someday you'll see a question or two and think "Oh! I

that I will be able to offer the same kind of help that you guys can right
now, but - given time - I tend to pick these things up. I will admit, though,
Access is particuliarly har; I learned how to code a website easier than this
