Thank you

I would just like to say “thank you†to all those people who spend a
proportion of their time to answer the questions posted by myself and others
in this forum. If it was not for people like you, then duffers like me would
have given up ages ago trying to make a difference using access. It must be
frustrating sometime to see the same queries arising, (sometimes probably
from the same people :)) but I have gained a great deal from reading your
comments and advice. One day I may be sufficiently knowledgeable in access
to make a contribution here myself. Thank you.

that's really nice to hear, Timboo, thank *you*. i think that most, if not
all, of us who routinely answer questions also learn a lot from reading the
advice and comments of others - the constant give-and-take make this a
beneficial forum for everyone involved. :)

Aside from the few "gods" who sprung fully-formed from the forehead of Zeus
(thus implying they are older than dirt!), I suspect most folks who help
here started coming here to get help. It's all relative.

If you'll keep checking back, you'll find that you can answer some of the
questions... go ahead!

Following on from Jeff's comment - I spend all day for much of the year
answering questions that I set myself (what do I want to do and how do I do
it) most people do the same and so will you.
I tend to answer very simple questions - how do I do this or that as they
tend to take less time and can be over in just a few posts (and I sit here
writing "really" mad code all day anyway).
I will bet that you have read a question and thinked to yourslef "I know
that". So next time you see a question that you know the answer to - as Jeff
said - go for it and help someone who was in the same place as you only a
short while ago. They will do the same in a short while.

I am one of them! I do offer advice if I feel I am capable.
