Text to Table

I have data that comes in a column of 16 rows per batch of information for
one person. The data has an identifier and data side by side separated by a
semi colon. Then the data is repeated for another person in 16 rows etc etc.

I want to convert those rows into colums using the identifier as the header.

To accomplish this you will need to use both Word and Excel:

Select the entire set of data and copy. Open Excel and paste. Select the
data and click Data > Text to columns. Under Original data type select
"delimited", then click Next and select "Semicolon" as the delimiter. Then
click Finish. Select the entire range of data and copy. Create a new
worksheet and Click Edit > Paste Special and select Transpose and OK. This
will "rotate" your data. Now copy your new range and paste back into Word.
This will create a Word table. You can convert that back to text using Table

Thank you! The process worked in Excel except that it did not place each set
of data into columns under the previous set - it spread across the page in
two rows
