Text size when browsing with Internet Explorer 6

Hi,

Today I was helping out an older neighbor lady with her
computer problems and questions. When she goes to the Travelocity
site, it's SUPER huge (and I mean like 500% or more!). Some of her
sites pull up normally, some are large, but the Travelocity site takes
the prize for the largest being displayed......and it's the one she
wants to get to the most.

I tried everything I could think of. View---->Text size
didn't do anything to make it smaller. I tried different resolutions,
clearing her temp files, and playing with all the font settings that I
could find but nothing helped.

I finally got to see how the Travelocity site is SUPPOSED to
look by going there on my own home computer.

She has fairly new Gateway system with Win XP home, IE6 SP1 (I
don't believe she has SP2 yet). She said everything was fine before
but encountered this problem a week or two ago.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have!

Hi watriff :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

The font size in IE keeps changing.

also...........

If IE-View-Text Size does not stick....

---solution 1
If you are using Eudora 4.2 or greater then use Tools-Options-Viewing
Mail and uncheck "Use Microsoft's viewer"
It is Eudora that is setting the IE text size and unchecking that
option will stop it.

The key that Eudora 4.x will change is this:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\International\Scripts\3]
"IEFontSize"=hex:02,00,00,00

---solution 2
In Outlook 2000 go to Tools/Options/Mail Format/Fonts/International
Fonts, and for each font
change the "Font Size" entry to your desired size.

The font size in IE keeps changing. - See this section

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
