"Text Select" pointer has become the color white for some reason. It used to
be black !! Now when I am moving over text in a Word document for example, I
can hardly see where the pointer is....... This is not the blinking cursor,
but the mouse pointer. The pointer is fine whne it is an arrow, but when it
moves over text...just white !!!

Any thoughts????

Take a look at the START menu|PROGRAM|MOUSE|POINTERS menu. Click BROWSE for
more options.

Hi Bruno

Have you tried going into Control Panel > Mouse and re-applying your
pointer scheme? Select a different scheme, apply, then switch back to
your preferred one, apply and OK. This might reset whatever has gone
wrong.

Or it could possibly be a graphics card problem; sometimes hardware
acceleration can cause mouse pointer problems and needs turning down a
notch.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your answers everyone.

I had tried another cursor scheme from the control panel and resetting
it...but no results.

Nightowl had the answer. Turned hardware acceleration on graphics adapter
down one notch...and bingo......cursor back to normal.

good catch

Bruno
