Text Only in Word 2002

I need to supply text only files in order to submit data to another
programme. Can someone please help me as Word 2000 used to save as text only
and Word 2002 supplies plain text which does not work properly.I have tried
to save as other types in 2002 but still does not work. Only text only will
work.
 
Plain text is plain text?
Maybe the older converter (linked from the downloads page of my web site) is
what you are looking for.

No because when it is pulled through Word 2000 the data is stable. When it is
pulled through word 2002 the data shifts up and down. What is the converter
called on your downloads page?
