text not aligned properly

Does anyone have any ideas as to why text spacing would be different from
one computer to another (even with the same version of PPT)?

Usually because the font the presentation calls for isn't installed on the
other computer.

Use Format, Replace Fonts to check.
Fonts with a "?" icon next to them in the upper list box of the Replace Fonts
dialog box are missing.
