Powerpoint alignment issues

When I open older 2003 versions of powerpoint in 2007, most all the alignment
of text boxes and headings are slightly off by a space or two. Also, text
boxes are often covered up. In addition, when typing in a text box, the
cursor is a space below what you can see on the slide. Any assistance would
be appreciated.
