text missing when publishing from access to word

I have made a report from a table in my Access 2003. When I select the
'Office Links' --> 'Publish it with Microsoft Office Word', it creates an RTF
file. However, the content when viewed in Word is inaccurate. Some of the
report is missing. It seems like the last two or three words in a memo field
disapears when they are at the end of a line in Word. If I write a few more
words, Word creates a new line, and all the text is shown, until I am at the
end of the new line. So the problem occurs on every line in Word.

I have tried changeing the margins, without success.

Have anyone seen this problem before?

Thanks for any help!

try setting the grow property of the memo field to YES
this makes the memofield grow vertically untill all data is displayed

controls under the memo field will automatically move down to make room

I am having a similar problem. I have a report that when it was Published
with Word using the Office Links, it looked fine on my computer, but when
someone else did it on theirs it was losing data, e.g. part of a person's
name would disappear. I discovered that if they change their display
resolution from 800x600 to something higher like 1024x768, it would work
fine. Likewise, when I changed the resolution on my display from 1280x960
down to 800x600, I had the same problem. Interestingly enough (at least to
me), changing the resolution after creating the Word doc and then reopening
it had no effect... if the text was missing beforehand, it was still missing
after increasing the resolution, and vice versa.

This was not a memo field like the other case, and Can Grow was set to Yes,
but the field wasn't really big enough to allow it to grow, so I made the
field bigger to allow another row in case the text wrapped, and it now
appears to work regardless of the screen resolution.

Thank you for this post allowing me to fix this. It seems odd that the
screen resolution would have this effect... but I guess it needs to go by
that in order to determine text wrapping and other things. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Kelly

As clarification to an earlier point(below), I am having the same problem. I
also publish to Word. Mine manifests in a concatenated field that draws from
memo and text fields. There is often but not regularily - text missing. I
have ensured the report fields are all set to 'can grow' and it doesn't seem
to make a difference. I cannot change the screen resolutions - we're on a
restricted Citrix system and cannot adjust local machine settings. My only
way around this is to edit the text in the database so that any records have
a line thrown after the text has ended. Not a practical solution. Any ideas
will be welcomed! :~)
