text is missing in word

I have drawn a table, using tool and am transcribing text into it. A couple
of times i have accidentally double clicked into this table and i get a
message that says sometihng like formatting(?) and then the text from the
upper and lower pages seem to 'dissapear behind the page I and using. Usually
i can just undi but i am un able to do this and have lost pages of text
somewhere. PLease help.
 
May be that it is applying some type of autoformatting. You can try turning
off autoformatting.
