Text in brackets [xxxxx] after a <return>

Santistas

Hi,

Frequently, when writing a message or editing an answer, Outlook inserts my
first name in brackets [xxxxx] into the text, after I push a <return>.

This occurs if the message is written in plain text or html, but not always.

Where can I find the option to avoid it?

I'm using Outlook 2003.

Thanks

Dear Santistas,

Go to:

Tools, Options, and click on the Email Options button.

At the bottom of that window, you will see a check box next to "Mark my
comments with". "Uncheck" the box.

In Outlook 2000 the solution is to go to Tools/Options/ Preferences
tab/E-mail Options button and at the bottom of the next screen it is Mark my
comments with.

Sorry, Bob

I took a look there, but this option is grayed and therefore not checked.
What else could it be?

Please help me. This is very painful.

I thank you.
