Text form fields - How do I set the size?

Guest

I have created a form and tabbed the text form fields to the size that I want
them to be. I would like to set these fields so that the size of the field
does not change whenever I'm entering text. (In other words, no wrapping or
expanding, etc. when entering text). I can protect the document but whenever
I enter text the fields will still move to the right or left as I enter the
text, and it's a hassle to have to tab the field over so they are all lined
up, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Set your form up as a table (without borders) and lock the cells so they
don't expand when filled.

Make a table, and use Table > AutoFit > Fixed Column Width to make sure the
cell widths don't change. Also use Table > Properties > Row to set an exact
height so the cell heights won't change. Then put each form field in its own
cell. You can use Format > Borders and Shading to turn off the borders if
you want.
