Text Effects

rUsing Outlook 2003

Why is it that when I highlight a word and go to Fomat > Fonts > Text
Effects, I am able to apply an effect to the text, but when I send the
e-mail, the effect doesn't show? Is there an option I have to enable in
order for the text effect to apply to the e-mail?

do you mean the person who gets the email cannot see the effect? What is
their mail client?

I sent it to myself and a person at work and both of us have Word as our
e-mail editor and the text effect still doesn't show.
