Text Disappears in Black and White

Hi, I've made a powerpoint presentation in color which includes some graphs.
I'm using powerpoint 2007. The background I used is blue with white text.
When I go to print in black and white, most of the slides look fine, but the
graphs are missing their axis. All that shows up is the actual bars on the
bar graph, not the scale or the axis explaining what the bars represent.
It's as if the computer didn't know that it was supposed to convert these to
black and so instead left them white on a white background. Any way to get
around this? Thanks!

Hi Claire,

why do you print black & white? Normally Grayscales show better results.

On the View tab of the ribbon you can switch your screen to black & white or
grayscales and there you'll find options to tweak how the elements on your
slides will look.

Best regards,
Ute

Sorry, I should have clarified. I was printing in gray scale. Either way
(gray scale or black and white) the text still isn't showing up.

Unfortunately, the b/w hooks into the charts don't work correctly in PPT
2007. I don't know of any fix, really, other than ungrouping the chart.
(Copy, then Paste Special as EMF and ungroup.)
