Hi
I am trying to create, at the request of my boss, a master slide for use by
all employees. He wants it dummy proof so people can't mess with it and make
it their own.

I have put it together just fine, but now he wants me to lock the text size
itself and the text box size so that it doesn't auto resize if they put too
much text somewhere or whatever.

Can this be done? I am more interested in just locking the size of the box
and so when you put too much text in, it will disappear.

Suggestions?

Thanks! Julianne

You can set the text box not to auto-resize but it'll still let them type in as
much text as they like. And there's no way to lock the text size.

There might be a way to enforce this with a VBA addin, but otherwise I'm afraid
not.

The boss could make people stand in the corner if he catches them breaking the
rules, though. ;-)

Thanks. Can you point me to a VB website that may be able to point me in the
right direction?

I'd start here:
Make PPT respond to events

Have a look at the rest of the VBA sectioni on the same site and also spend some
quality time with Shyam Pillai's site (linked to from the URL above).
