Text boxes not transparent when running slide show

Using Powerpoint 97 (SR1) on W98SE

When running a slide show, text boxes and other objects
that have animation-effects appear in a grey box instead
of being transparent, this only occurs when running the
slide show and not in the slide view !!!
When I run the same presentation on my notebook (also PP97
SR1 and W98SE)there's no problem ??

I haven't had this problem on any of my company PC's

I allready tried re-installing office '97 (after
uninstalling) and checked all possible options in PP itself
without result.

If you are referring to activex text boxes with their backgrounds set to
transparent, then yes this a known bug. No fix available.

If you are seeing this for PowerPoint textboxes then it could be a video
driver issue.

Has this machine always had this problem or did it just begin?
