I need to create on the master slide a text area (as a footer) that can be
filled in on each new slide produced from the master.
Same as the "objects area for auto layout" where an area to insert text
appears on each new slide. (normal view)
An extra title or objects area.

Any way to achieve this?

Thanks

Sorry, but you cannot add additional placeholders to the master. There is a
footer placeholder, which you can access through View - Header/Footer, but
the text you enter there will be the same on every slide.

If you need a footer, which can be filled with different texts on every
slide, insert a text box with a word of blind text. Instead of inserting a
new slide, copy this sample slide.

Best regards,
Ute

As Ute's explained, you can't do it in exactly the way you want but have a look
at http://shapestyles.pptools.com

The flash demo on the main page shows a number of tricks for footnotes, as it
happens.

If you only need to create a few styles, you only need the free demo. Nothing
to purchase.
