Text animation problem

Case #1

It is not a good idea for me to choose wipe effect (from left, after
previous, slow) for a bullet that has more than one line when the second line
is shorter.

Both lines begin the animation at the same time and since the 2nd. line is
shorter, it will stop and wait for the first line to finish. I try to fix
this via the text animation tab and didn't seem to have much luck. Can I get
the 2nd line to start only after the first has finished?

Case #2

I applied animation to the text in the title placeholder of the slide
master. One of the slides didn't show the effect. I can redo the slide but
I am curious what might have caused this. I thought I might have animation
on the problem slide before I animated the slide master. Then I used a new
slide to test this and it was okay. It picked up the animation on the master
even though it had animation. Can two effects clash with each other and the
second one will be ignored? I used grow/shrink on the master.

Any comments?

Hi Epinn

The simple answer to #1 is use "color typewriter" by letter instead. If you
dont want the clour bit tweak the color saetting so all colors are the same.

Ahh... timing. Instead of "after previous" choose "with previous" and then
alter the timing options, make it start a fraction of a second after. You
can type in the fraction you want (.1 .2 .3 etc) Play with the numbers till
it works just right. Watch it though, your timing can sometimes affect later
animations if you have them starting with the one you altered... then you
have to reset them to "on click" then reset them again to "with previous".
Timing is everything. Have fun!

Thanks, John. The color typewriter seems fine for the text and "regular"
bullets. Unfortunately, it messes up the "picture" bullets that change
color. I wonder if there is a way to ask the colour typewriter not to touch
the bullets. :)

Thanks Paul for your post. I probably don't understand your suggestion. If
I use "with previous" for the first bullet, the title is affected. If I use
"with previous" for all the bullets, then all the first lines of the bullets
will animate at the same time which I don't want. I guess that was why you
talked about timing.

Is there a third way?

Thanks.
