Text and pictures are not visible in sort view.

On some of my presentations while editing when I go to sort view the titles
are visible, but text and picutres are not.
 
Sounds like a video card driver issue. Try updating your driver and see if
it takes care ofthe problem.

Look for the "show/hide formatting" button in slide sorter view. It's got
two As on it. Click it and see if your text and images show up.
