What is best way to expand cells for text between custom header and
spreadsheet columns

not really sure what you're trying to do. Could you explain this with
some more detail?. Or do you mean the 'space' between the header and
the data part of your spreadsheet?
 
if i understand your question correctly, i think you need to increas
the margins.

put the string "header and footer margins" in excel help's answe
wizard. see if that answers your query
