I did a full install of Vista Ultimate. I installed the Texas Hold'em card
game and it worked fine. I had to reformat my drive and reinstall everything.
However I was NOT offered any Ultimate Extras!!! Where can I find and install
the Texas Hold'em extra? thanks

Texas Hold'em is available for Windows Ultimate by visiting the Windows Update web site.

Carey,
Do you have a specific link? I went to the Windows Update page and it
doesn't show any available updates. thanks

And you're sure you don't have Hold'em in your game explorer?

The Hold 'Em game for Windows Vista Ultimate is available from Windows Update:

You have to check for updates in the Windows Update explorer (Start > All
Programs > Windows Update > click "Check for updates" link), and will
download it as an optional update along with Bitlocker Encryption.

Carey,
Still shows No update extras available. I also lost the 15 language packs
that were offered. thanks

Are you sure you installed Vista Ultimate and is it activated?

Whether or not his copy is activated is irrelevant.
If you have the Ultimate version and are still in the grace period,
you can download/install/use the Ultimate extras.

Vista Ultimate and it is activated. Like I said it worked when I originally
installed it. It was when I had to do a complete reinstall that the extras
weren't offered. thanks

Believe me, I went through the same thing for a few minutes. You need to
change where you're updating.

Carey,
It's possible that the lack of updates in Windows Update is due to use of the pre-release Ultimate Launch Event version and not RTM.

So I should do a reinstall and see if that corrects the problem? thanks

That would be a last resort. Is there any possibility you accidentally
chose to hide the update? Since you say you also lost the language packs.
