Tetris is running too fast!!

I have tetris which i could use on windows 3.11 workgroups, win95. I tryed to
play it on WinXP and it just goes too fast and i cant slow it down. I used
the compatability wizard and chose windows95 it still has no effect! What can
i do? As the game is really good. The game is by A. Pajitnov & V. Gerasimov

It would probably be easier just to download a newer version. There are
dozens, if not hundreds of freeware clones these days.

A quick web search threw up these:
