game running fast

hi, i have cossacks , this week i bought a new pc, loaded the game and its
running very fast. the men are fast and the scrolling is too fast. ive slowed
it down in options but it seems to stutter. i originally played this game on
windows 98, now have xp home, is it because my new pc is just much
faster?...what should i do?...i have also done the compatability thing to win
98

If that's the DOS version of the game try:
http://www.dosgames.com/faq.php#3 otherwise,
right click the game process in Task Manager and
select the lowest priority for the game to run in.
