Terminal Service Licensing

James Sitch

Hi!

I have been handed a windows 2000 terminal server to manage and I need
to install additional licenses, however I am being prompted for an
enrollment number that I do not have.

How do I find out what my enrollment number is?

Thank you,

James

Do you have a Select, Open or Enterprise License agreement with
Microsoft? If so, find your paper contract and look up the
enrollment number.

If you don't have a Volume License Agreement, and you have
purchased TS CALs from a reseller, than you have chosen the wrong
option when you tried to install the licenses. You need to choose
"Other", and then it will ask you for the license number that
comes with the purchased licenses.

See point 8 and 18 in the following KB article:

Install CALs Over the Internet
