terminal service connection issues

I am working at a company that uses terminal services. I
have run into a problem were some machines connect and
some do not. all the machines are windows 2000 pro or XP
pro. when you try to connect from a client pc you can
see the attempt un Terminal service manager just for a
quick instance you can see the blue computer pop up under
the server name then it goes away. You get the error
message Terminal Server has ended the connection. I
thought it might be a licensing issue. but when I go
into Terminal Server License Manager it tries to connect
to a server that isnt part of the network. it was removed
before I took over the IT support. and I configured
terminal services from ground up. it will not give me a
choice to activate the new server. What am I overlooking?

thanks

Did you install the TS Licensing Service? On your DC, if your TS
runs W2K?
Maybe the old TS Licensing Server (the one that LS Manager tries
to connect to) was hardcoded into the registry of the TS? If so,
remove the registry entry.
