Hello, can someone please provide information on how to
setup and configur the following;

Client Computers --> Terminal Server ---> File server

Our goal is to allow 15 users to log into the Terminal
server and access the Acpac software that resides on the
fileserver.
The client's O/S is Win xp, 2K Pro and Win 98.
The File server O/S is Win 2K Server.

How can I configure the terminal and file server so users
can log into the terminal server and access the file
server application.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Terminal Servers are generally setup like workstations, i.e. they are domain members and the software you'd normally install on a workstation (to access your data) is installed on the Terminal Server

You need special Terminal Server Client Access Licenses (TSCAL) for users to connect to the Terminal Server (in addition to the Windows Server CALs they'd normally need

Example: You want to provide 50 people with old 133MHz Windows 95 machines with access to Microsoft Office 2003. Instead of upgrading 50 workstations at a cost of $40,000 (for new CPUs) you setup a Dual-Xeon Windows Server 2003, Terminal Server (Citrix MetaFrame optional) with Microsoft Office 2003 that users access from their old dinosaurs via Remote Desktop or Citrix Published Application
