Terminal server can not locate a license server

We keep getting Event ID 1010 "The terminal server could not locate a license
server." approximately every six hours. the terminal server is a 2k and the
licensing server is 2003 and the domain is 2003. does the licensing server
need to be a domain controller for the terminal server to find it?

thanks,

bob

Did you hardcode the name of the 2003 LS into the registry of the W2K
TS?
If so AND if your clients can connect without problems (check if
licenses are issues and renewed in LS Manager), then this is just a
cosmetic problem.

Vera,
Yes, we did add it to the registry and we did take one client to test
license issuance (remove the license from the registry & then reconnect to
the terminal server). Licenses are being issued correctly. We just did not
want the terminal server to deny connections after 120 days.

Whew, thanks!

You are the best!
