Hi,

Is there a difference between using RDP verus Remote
Desktop Connection?

Or, does one work with XP and the other with W2K?

The Remote Desktop Client is the terminal services client version 5.1 or higher. This is simply a branding issue. Version 5.0 that shipped with 2000 Server was called the Terminal Services Cleint, and doesn't support many new features. They'll both work connecting to 2000 or 2003, but the features available are less with the TS Client.
