Can a XP Pro PC remote connect to a Windows 2000 Pro PC ?

On my LAN, all are Windows 2000 Pro Computers, I was told
getting one XP Pro PC will allow it to run remote desktop
on these Win2K Pro to perform remote admin task from the
XP Pro PC.

I am confused to use Remote Desktop or Terminal Service
client for XP Pro.

Not via Remote Desktop - it doesn't exist for W2k Pro. W2k Server can have
terminal services - but not the workstation OS.

I think you misunderstood. You can use your XP Pro computer as a 'host' for
Remote Desktop or a client for any terminal server or other WinXP Pro box
running Remote Desktop.

You can use the latest RD client from microsoft.com/downloads, but you can't
connect to a Win2k Pro PC using it.

There are other options for Win2k - Dameware, RealVNC, etc - google is your
friend here!
