Terminal Client is expiering

I am working at home on a laptop Windows XP Home Edition and connect through mstsc to the server of my compnay which runs in windows 2000. I bought the laptop second hand (6 month old) and now the remote desktop connection shows me that it will expire in a couple of days and I should contact my systemoperator. How can I update the licence

Your office needs to purchase a terminal server license for your
machine... XP Home is not comped a license in connecting to Win2K
Terminal Servers...
