With all the talk of case temps and whatnots. I was wondering - After a good gaming session (or crunching) is it a good idea to leave the computer on for a few minutes, just so the fans cool down any hot hardware, Instead of shutting off right away? It seems like a good idea to do the former.

It is a good idea and it might be worth cranking the fans up to full speed at the same time . Temps should drop pretty quick , I find the mobo stays the warmest longest . :)

Some PSU's will run the fan for a bit after the pc is shutdown.

Tbh, i wouldn't worry too much. it will soon cool down after it goes off. :)
