My wife was working on a power point document and had
been unknowingly saving to a temp internet file. Now the
powerpoint seems to be lost how can I recover it?

Thanks

Jim

Have you looked in c:\documents and settings\<user>\local settings\temporary
internet files ? If that's where she saved it that is. If you've deleted the
temporary internet files I guess you could try some undelete utility like
norton undelete.

Look here:
C:\Documents and Settings\"Your Name Here"\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files.
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files.
C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files.
C:\Documents and Settings\Local Service\Local Settings\ Temporary Internet
Files.
C:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\ Temporary Internet
Files.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5
Hope this helps. Let us know.

I think you could search for any files which has the power
point extension like *.PPT and also u could specify the
date which has been modified within (it is a search option)
u could do so by doing the following
start---->search---->then type *.ppt and specify when the
file modified from the options below

Cant seem to see the LOCAL SETTINGS folder. I think the
biggest problem is that I wiped the temp internet files
this afternoon.
Ideas?

Jim
