I would like to temporarily disable my daughter's Messenger account. Is there
a simple to have some kind of parental control to do this?

Will something like this help?

It does that and a lot more actually. Personally I've never used it but over
the ages I've recommended it to countless people who've given feedback to
let me know that they were happy with the results. It's free and there's a
paid version as well if you wanted something a bit more robust with the
options of downloading an automatic blacklist constantly.
